Heavy fight in Northern Mogadishu in the past 3 hours!!

There is heavy fight going on in Heliwaa district since after Isha here in Mogadishu. Al-Shabaab have started throwing mortars at first towards the perfume factory where AMISOM has a base, afterwards they started a guerrilla offensive. A heavy face to face attack, it has calm down now but there is the occasional gun fire's.

The security in Mogadishu is getting out of hand.

I just can't believe that there are over 12,000 AMISOM forces in Mogadishu and they cannot easily pacify al-shabaab. I f-king hate this fufu bastards, they are here only for their money!!!

One problem is that a great number of the members of al-shabaab are minority clans like Jareers. This is a fact I have repeatedly seen. They are also pretty loyal to them, god knows why.....probably because (I speculate) that Al-shabaab treats them equally. Anyway its a problem rarely talked about. Everyone thinks of the jareers as maskiin but lots of the criminals and al-shabaab suicide bombers belong to that ethnic group.

actually that is not true, though many minority groups tend to support al-shabaab that does not mean they are the majority. It is actually the maryooleys that are mostly doing the suicide bombinga and stuff.

The security sector in Moqidisho is very weak from top to bottom and the man who was on the brink of destroying Al-shabab (general Diini) was shown the exit door- presumably because he was going to put a lot of guys in the government out of work
