Fav things.

Post by Tuushi »

It is with sadness and heavy heart that i throw away my favourite skirt in the dumpster. She was brave.Survived summers` humid and winters` salt and slash. :(

Bleach infused detergent was the silence killer.

My condolences are in order Tuushiyeey

A month ago, a relative of mine took my favorite hand bag of all time without my knowledge. She hasn't returned it yet. Last week I got a message saying "Buy a new one". Apparently its not found here. I don't think I will ever get over it  :x

I assume you have not been to Somalia?

When you come here, people literally rob you. Trust me when I say rob you lol. The first time I came here, within 2 weeks I had nothing as a matter of fact. The female relatives took some of my clothes, hand bags, perfumes and other cosmetics. I was really shocked at first. I only used to hear my mum and aunts complaining about how people take their stuff when they go back home. Maalintaanba anigaaba indhaheyga ku arkay soomaha  .

The lady who took my hand bag is quite older. Waan ka xishooday somehow. But I tell you, these people don't take no for an answer. Whatever they want, you gotta let it go and give them.

However, I don't like people who borrow my items at all. I would rather have them take it and never return it, specially when it comes to clothes. I hate sharing

I think u r just waay nicer than i am.The first time back home,i came back with less than a quarter of what i took there. After that,i vowed to never take anything i liked. The rare ones i did, after the first night,i would hide them locked somewhere. My ipod and my phone were it. Anything else i didnt care except the perfume.

It was small place, aqal Somali sorta thing. This islaan comes in weiling and drops herself on the ground.Apparently,i had to part with my perfume because her rooxaamo loved them. She wouldnt leave unless i gave it to her. That was robbery.

Now i know better.

What misers you are....I'd be ashamed if I came back with more than the cloths I was wearing.
Somali's are natural tea leafs.....I've been hit more than a few times, but just laugh it off and make sure the real valuables are well hidden.

PS I actually attended one of those ruxaan thingy's. It involved a goats leg, food & dancing.

Most of the attendees were in good spirits afterwards, and wanted to continue the "party" elsewhere.
I think it's just an excuse to dance and fraternize with the opposite sex. :)

The amount of clothing my younger sister borrows that get ruined or go missing, I've lost count. I'm desensitized to parting with fav clothes.

I have my dell laptop of 4 years, though. The struggle to use it is too real, the battery takes forever to charge and I'm forever replacing the charger. For some reason I can't part with it. Maybe next year.
