African Intelligence: Siilanyo too fragile to do his job

Post by BoholKing »

Somaliland: The Duo (Amina Mohamed Jirdeh and Hersi Ali Haji Hassan) Shepherding Silanyo

While President Ahmed Mohamed Mahamoud known as Silanyo, who has now reached the ripe age of 76 and will soon go to London for a medical check-up,
is finding it increasingly difficult to do his job, two people in his immediate entourage are gaining more and more influence over him.

One is his wife, Amina Mohamed Jirdeh and the other is his Minister to the Presidency, Hersi Ali Haji Hassan.

According to some of Silanyo’s old friends, the important decisions taken without consulting this informal duo have become few and far between. It even includes
the choices President Silanyo makes appointing people to the government, or the heads of police and the armed forces.

The First Lady attends all the conferences and meetings that deal with social and political issues and regularly goes on tours of the provinces; meanwhile the
Minister
to the Presidency is in constant contact with all the members of the government. He is also a member of delegations going on foreign missions.

For example, he accompanied President Silanyo to two recent international meetings with the heads of Somaliland and the Transitional Federal Government
(TFG) in Mogadishu. Finally, the heads of the security services and the provincial governors regularly report on their activities to the First Lady or the minister
to the presidency.

I must say your obsession with Silanyo bashing is very suspicious. Almost every post you make is to discredit silanyo and kulmiye, furthermore you also seem to be set on bringing intra-clan dispute among Isaaqs. very suspicious indeed!!

Somalilanders have the right to be concerned it is their democracy that is at stake. Did we elect Amina Jirdeh or Siilaanyo?

What policies did Amina Jirdeh push through that you don't agree with? While Somaliland's democracy could obviously improve, it is ten times better than what it was under the last Presidency. ofcourse Somaliland citizens have the right to criticize their government with the intent of to right the wrongs, your intentions are very suspect!

Even though that's rubbish, what's wrong if the first lady attends conferences and social events? I mean take a look at who's in China meeting the Chinese president and delivering speeches about internet freedom -

DatBreh I think you missed this part. Did Somalilanders elect Siilaanyo to manage the government or his wife/Xirsi?

What is democratic about his wife or other close family members who're not even part of the government having a say on head of police, armed forces?
Somaliland is not a monarch keep in mind.

So what your saying is that having your wife as adviser is totally undemocratic. No one said Somaliland is a monarch(, however the President was elected and it is his choice to chose cabinet members. How does he make to these choices? By listening to the advise of people close and around him including his wife. There is absolutely no problem with this as far as I can see, unless you can point to a specific issue that you are referring to

It is not advise but running things that is the issue. The people of Somaliland did not elect Amina Xirsi so why should she have a say on the armed
forces or other important issues? He has his own advisers in the government so he does not need Amina at all to do that for him, that point is
null and void. Truth of the matter is he is too fragile to run things hence the interference it has nothing to do with his choice.

Seems like a clear case of character assassination and defamation by former friends.

Unfortunately that is not the case Genkinmaru hence why Somaliland MPs demanded a full health examination.
