Truly a man of the ages.
Beesha Sade has ALWAYS said Kismaayo's situation does not reflect reality. That Kenya has created a situation which cannot be sustained if they withdrew this second.
Beesha Sade withdrew to Goobweyn, 5 km to Kismaayo and built up their forces.
But the Kenyans were there physically and so the issue was spinned as Ras Kamboni (backed by Kenya) "in control of Kismaayo" and Federal government (FGS) have to agree.
They went to Ethiopia and signed the Addis Ababa accord.
The accord was not signed or consulted with Marehan and Barre.
There came the time to finalize the accord and a major point was that Barre and the Goobweyn forces would enter Kismaayo.
Barre and Sade said what accord? We signed an accord? When the FGS and Kamboni were negotiating terms that have to do with how and where we will go, WHERE WE consulted?
It was a conundrum. Barre had built up thousands of boys and had been receiving weapons and money from Sade diaspora. He was 5 minutes to Kismaayo in a Marehan stronghold grazing town surrounded on three fronts by the Jubba river.
AMISOM can't fight a domestic political war and Ras Kamboni has not even dared to come close to them.
Stalemate.
Seeing as Goobweyn refused to budge, would the situation of Maamulka Jubba be sustainable if foreign troops left Kismaayo.
A false peace is a waiting war.
For 5 days, the Somali government represented by the PM, Ras Kamboni, IGAD and Ethiopian envoy tried to negotiate.
On the 5 day, ALL OF BARRE HIIRAALE'S DEMANDS WERE ACCEPTED FOR TALKS.
ALL OF HIS DEMANDS.
1. Barre and Goobweyn would not surrender or enter Kismaayo.
2. That the current administration is built illegal and equitable power-sharing be negotiated.
3. That the "reconciliation conference" that took place after Addis Ababa Accord was a sham and a real one has to be implemented.
4. That the Sade elders council driven out by the Kenyan troops and led by long-time Sade Waamo Suldaan Mohamed Bashir Madoobe Yaroow be allowed in.
Etc
Yesterday, the Prime Minister and IGAD announced reconciliation conference will take place before talks..they both used the word "real" reconciliation conference.
And today a plane arrived transporting all the Sade elders council members and the grand ma'am of the Jubbas Xaawo Ugaas Faarax (the matriarch infamously arrested by ICU for making Kismaayon unsafe for them).
The were accompanied by Gen Abdirizaq Khalif Cilmi (Commander of the Army) and Col Warfaa Sheekh Adan (Head of Gedo troops).
Pretty much every one of our positions has been realized thus far---because after the dust of the little present drama settled, they realized Kismaayo will never see sustainable peace without realizing Sade aspirations.
Barre Hiiraale has given Sade what they wanted in Kismaayo

Re: Barre Hiiraale has given Sade what they wanted in Kismaa
It has been extensive long busy week. I congratulate the Prime Minister for his efforts and negotiations skills. I also congratulate the Goobweyn troops and their leader Barre Hiiraale for fighting for justice against Kenya and their puppets.
I hope the upcoming plans will become fruitful and successful. Somalia as a whole needs peace and prosperity.
I see all the big men from beesha have come to Kismaayo, the commander of the Somali national army is a top guy.

The first contact on the 13th, after FGS, Ethiopia, IGAD concluded their business with Ahmed Madobe and then asked Barre to come into Kismaayo...a trip that was supposed to take two days will now definitely be dragged. Barre basically said what treaty? I don't remember signing a treaty just because you guys and him agreed"
He lists his conditions

Long story short, today the council is back

Pains me to see Gen Abdirizaq have to hug Fartaag...probably saying urkaaga iga du

Republic,
I some how admire Fartaag. At the end of the day, Sade needed some inside player to know what goes behind Ras Kamboni and Kenyan troops. Beesha has played a good game.
Also at the end of the day things has to be resolved in order re-start the Al Shabaab offences in Middle and Lower Jubba.
My real enemy is Kenya, Ras Kamobi are not even important they are just ragtag militia's that take order from Kenya. Once Kenya are eliminated from Jubbaland affairs it will be glorious day.
