If we start celebrating Christmas in puntland...

Post by whitehartlane »

Would that effect the geopolitics of the region..blimey cuz if that's true somaliland is running away with it..Easter eggs all over in hargeisa apparently..
http://somalilandsun.com/index.php/poli ... r-holidays

TALEEH (Somalilandsun) – Taleeh town in Sool region is hosting Prof Ali Khalif Galaydh and a large Khatumoists delegation presumably for Easter holidays.
Prof Galaydh who is an MP in the Somalia parliament and thence an automatic non-grata person in the republic of Somaliland visits the area following the historic visit to Hargeisa by his clansman Garaad Jama Garaad Ismail.
Both Galaydh and Garaad Jama are behind the Khatumoists secessionists who envisage a Khatumo state of Somalia to be hived-off from some eastern part of Sanaag and Sool regions in the east of Somaliland.
Though the government in Hargeisa is yet to acknowledge the presence of the Prof Galaydh led team in Taleeh its operatives and emissaries led by King Buurmadow are known to have been holding talks with Galaydh in the Ethiopian city of Jigjiga.
The return of both Galaydh and Garaad Jama to the Fold is an ultimate death sentence to the Khatumoism and disturbances from the tribal enclave of Puntland its former main backer.
On the other hand the visit to rest during Easter holidays in Somaliland is a clear indication and further proof that th insecurity in Mogadishu is affecting even the mighty

the khatumo project will fail when they realize being part of s/land with equality and dignity is better than being a third class subject under the hag empire

First of all Italy did not colonise puntland in that sense. We were the last somali region to fall and we're never officially colonized..our then harti sultans and king rulers were shipped to Seychelles and other island and the wars between the Italians and the puntland people are well documented. We don't really associate ourself with former aggressors invaders hostile take overs . We tend to forget about it. Like it never did happen....just like the rest of somali people in the SOUTH

As matter of fact and I can speak for every single somali person from ceerigaabo to buhoodle to all the way to the borders of Kenya ...we don't remember the Italian colonization unless it's been mentioned by an Isaaq person..

And tell you right now..I challenge one single somalinet member from the Darood or hawiye community that speaks of the colonial era like last years CID party..as some of the Isaaq folks do..

Anyways chill out I promise I won't disrespect the British queen..stop going in attack mode I just thought that piece of news was funny because of the several times mentioning of the Easter holiday and somaliland in general..

Saaxib your cousin is going to have a mental breakdown..it was just a piece of a stupid article written by a stupid somali lander and published by a very stupid somaliland website...

As you can see from the comments of that article the Isaaq readers are pissed and condemned the whole shite..

I just wanted to share with my fellow puntlanders..u know just another laugh at our north western neighbours...

I am still laughing though...would have been devastated had that stupid article been written by a stupid puntlander and published by a stupid puntland website... Luckily the credit goes to somaliland

basically no one wants any self declared subclan based mini states between somaliland and puntland. at the end of the day dhulbahante will be part of somalland or puntland. thats what the federal government wants.

what somaliland wants is different we want to rule the entire sool and sanaag, the only reason we may give it up is if we could not find any petroleum resouces in eastern sool and sanaag, AND somalia goverment agrees to give us recognition in exchange of eastern sool and sanaag (if the majority of the people votes for somalia)

in other words dhulbahante and warsangeli must accept somaliland rule or we use them as humansheild hostages to demand our indepedence from somalia. somaliland is at the point of no return we gonna cause big somali civil war if putland does not stop tailgating.

You know as well as I know that before somalilands independence has been legalized Sool sanaag cayn and awdal will get the option of referendum. I don't know about awdal but you will loose the harti Sool and sanaag ice in the Sahara. However you are right about the use of that region in a political hustle.

I agree no one wants khaatumo state to actually be sla sustaining admin. Not the sfg nor somaliland or puntland not even the international partners of the 3 admins I just mentioned. Because at the end of the day if khaatumo becomes a little more than a mouth piece, people in gedo people in galgaduud people in hiiraan people in bloody awdal and bakool will be very tempted to follow suit. However at the same time khaatumo region hasnt been officially recognised to be under anyone yet..hence the flirting with all sides.

You are very much correct in saying the claim of khaatumo by somaliland is mere terms and conditions for when secession becomes a reality. However with this new puntland government a lot of things are going to be different from the previous regime.

Faroole has achieved a great deal of success for puntland that can not be ignored under any circumstances. Amongst the actions he will be remembered for is his hard unshakeable dealings with the southern folks. Deporting them from puntland cities to challenging presidents and prime ministers. Playing in general from an uncompromising position. At times so harsh that reer puntland considered some of his actions slightly unnecessary and quit provocative. Comically contrary to how he dealt with somaliland. Somaliland at one point had soldiers in tukaraq which is a stone throw away from garowe. Somaliland threatened puntland numerous times and even sponsored the galgala militia. Somaliland invaded Buuhoodle and went to all out war with a very small section of the harti lineage under a full Isaaq army. Besides the usual political correctness of condemnation, our harti president and his office never took action. His unacceptable soft stance towards somaliland was seriously confusing.

Long story cut short, this regime is very much different. The signs are there for all to see. It was mere days after cabdiweli's inauguration when Siilaanyo flew to addis Ababa, visited Laas Qoray, invasion and the retreat of bad Badhan and Taleex. A very sudden political activeness towards Sool and Sanaag that was in previous years not there. Cabdiweli's regime is far more broader and has much more depth. Isaaq Ogaden dir and mareexaan are present in this administration. It's much more academically adequate and fit office. 3 of the top 4 leading presidential candidates in the recent election are currently part of the Garowe administration. 3 of the 5 khaatumo leaders are currently serving puntland. The current sole surviving president of the Taleex district a "mr Indhosheel" will be arriving in Garowe in the coming days.

Irregardless of Siilaanyo's provocative actions of lately Cabdiweli continued his trip and will change the face of puntland as we know as soon as he returns.

Puntlands previous stance towards xamar is long gone and a new direct political turnaround towards somaliland is in the horizon.

Number one priority 'a harti conference'
Number two on the agenda 'the inclusion in the talks held in turkeye'
..

We in puntland support and recognise somalilands quest for statehood but over millions of dead bodies before the taking of the burial sites of the Darood heritage sites in Sanaag.
