Love, Hate and everything in between
Which one of these is love to you?
1.
Loving someone regardless of what they do to you, what they say to you or how they behave. I don't mean not getting angry or offended but that no matter what happens you remain loving that person, even when you don't want to.Remaining kind and tender and feeling horrible when you lose your temper. You never want to see them in harms away, even when you're angry, even when you hate them. Being able to let them go if that's what they said they want, being okay to let the love you have disappear if it can or live in pain if you must.
2.
Loving someone such that you can never be away from them. No matter what they do, no matter how badly you hurt each other, wanting to stay together in pain than even consider being apart. Desperately needing that person and never accepting or letting them accept that you could be apart even if you hurt yourself or them in the process. Fighting for them and never letting go of what you two have. If you have to let go, knowing that you will forever hate them for it.
Is one more sincere than the other? Is one better than the other? Is one more mature or less powerful than the other?

What if she didn't cook, the house was a mess and she preferred CSI Miami? Would you love her less?blizzard90 wrote:To me love is when I finish work in the evening and I come home to a hot meal then me and my Mrs spend the rest of the evening on the couch watching eastenders/corrie. What u just described is not Love. I did my duty as a man to go out into the world and provide for her, when i get home she needs to do her duty as a woman and provide me with hot food and a clean body

Would you love her less if she wasn't fulfilling this obligation? Would you divorce her?

yes I would divorce her definitely, probably replace her with a more deserving wife of my hard work and love to give. its cool if she sick, but other than I see it as a blatant disrespect.

Re: Love, Hate and everything in between
How we define our perception of romantic love changes with age. Its definition comes in phases and with age, we come to accept its complexities and variations. Complexities and variations that we probably couldn't have accepted in our younger days. Love may be a universal concept, but it's also very personal and easily susceptible to an individual's beliefs, state of mind and values.

love till you lose trust, that's what I feel.
Deen is non-negotiable though, it's a must.

The reason I ask is because I watched something that left with me a lot of questions.
If you're hurt by someone you love and you hurt them back really badly, does that mean you didn't love them?
If you say you love someone yet can let them go, does that mean you don't love them enough?

Re: Love, Hate and everything in between
I don't like # 2. Smells of selfish, desperate love. # 1 is not perfect love either, but it is the better one. True love is--loving unconditional and also letting go of them--not because that is what u want but what they want. U know, their happiness should be # 1 to u.
PS That's why I never fall in love, but I do have people falling for me--which is nice.
