Waran Adde is my uncle and exactly that's what I have been saying. Even I have said Tigrai speak better Somali than Walawein. The Tigrays pronounce many things better than Walawein such as the KH, X and over all their accent similar to us than Walawein is. (see the whole argument here: http://mereja.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f ... 459655201c)
I congratulate Waran Adde, Faisal Ali and all the well-informed other Isaaq.
We share nothing with Walawein other than aiding Aideed and Ali Wardhiigley. That is not a reason to be close to them.
I'm not surprised that Isaaq elites are slowly waking up and getting the message. The south struggles with suffixes such as KH, Q and DH just to name few in the Somali language. I have Tigrayan friends who speak Somali and they perfectly provenance those letters. Oromo people are the same.
For example Q is pronounced same way in Tigrinya such as Meqelle or Bejaqi (please). White people already spell Meqelle as Mekelle because they can't say Q
In Somalia they struggle with the difference between Q and KH. They struggle with DH so much they have decided to replace it with R...example in Somaliland one would say 'Gabadh' (girl) but they say 'Gabar'.
Tigringya word that would have the DH pronunciation is for example dha'han dha'han, DheHan W'alu or Ashendha. Yes indeed, D is not DH. I know the Tigraians will get what I mean D is not DH. Tigringya has perfect DH accent.
I congratulate Waran Adde, Faisal Ali and all the well-informed other Isaaq.
