According to the bbc the coalition have recaptured some villages around tikrit and are advancing towards tikrit.
According to some arabic sources, a political deal has been reached between baghdad and erbil in wich maliki lets the kurds have their oil independent sells!

Its only the secular kurds that will join the shia to fight isil. There are also other Kurds allied to the sunni cause. Not all Kurds are the same.

most kurds are of the traditional aqeeda and have allot of sufis, and a large precentage is secular,
they have not been influence by modernists islamist trend.
there are salafi kurdish groups but they are tiny, you will have to do an extensive google search to find them,
my kurdish friends never heard of them and they believe i am making shit up when i tell them there are at least 2 kurdish salafist groups.

kurds are like the iranians, they hate the islam itself and consider it an arab culture!gurey25 wrote:most kurds are of the traditional aqeeda and have allot of sufis, and a large precentage is secular,

Once the iranian women arrives the west she will wear short clothes despite being mum
Kurdish have secular private nationalist tvs who insult islam 24/7
Sadam has used the quran names such us xamlaat anfaal in xalabja againist the kurds
Politically, both the shia and kurds are former allies kinda usce/snm but then got divided as mogadishu vs hargeysa
Not just about the old days, there's land dispute between the sunna and kurds and the return of the sunna means big problem for the kurds
If iraq were divided into three countries, kurds and shhia will never see each other again but the sunns are their eternal enemies.
look how turkey plays the biggest strategy in iraq so it can have the biggest influence in there!
Beshmarga has secured today big part of the iraq borders with syria after maliki forces evacuated them!
ISIS have moved abit close to the front-line syrian borders in tal afar
100 turkey special forces have arrived in erbil to to direct the war!
Kurd-maliki coalition was formed to defend baghdad!

now thats an offensive statement.sahal80 wrote:kurds are like the iranians, they hate the islam itself and consider it an arab culture!
you are saying iranians are not muslim?
kurds not muslim?
the kurds are no different from allot of the middle east since before the 70's.
There was a religous revival , due to isreals defeat, the shame and humiliation made people question secularism and the young started to turn towards religion.
Turkey and the Kurds are one of the few places that were shielded from this revival due to cultural reasons,.
this is why the kurds today are like an image from the 60's for the whole middle east.
They havent changed one bit.
They are no more secular or religous they are exactly the same as they were .
