Nope, Geo u r Isaaq. Re: Atheism exploding in Saudi Arabia
We live in a brave new world either you are educated, enlightened, tolerant, secular human being or you are a terrorist, religious fanatic, uneducated who doesn't belong in our world I can't wait till certain governments start kicking people out because their beliefs endanger the state.
Re: Atheism exploding in Saudi Arabia
Confusion and doubt can occur in anyone's mind.
Lots of people are just confused and not really Atheist.
Like Dr Yalooxow.
Some just think its hip to "claim" to be an Atheist. Like Leftis.
And some pretend just so they can be 'one of the lads'.

these seem to be your main interests./
Not really dear. I think I am more into homosexuality more than atheism. I like gossip threads. I like Qabil threads. I like Aids and HIV threads. I like American Media and Politics threads. Anything that is western and non Somali Authentic -- I like.

one could easily make the same argument about islam.Basra- wrote:Grant whether it was in 1970s or mid 1800s, it doesn't matter lol, the point is-- the religio[n] was based on a single individual purportedly received a dream or seeing an angel and given the revelation. Such absurdity is ludicrous.

cashmere aka kukri
I always suspected u r an atheist. a fat one as it is.
No--the same argument CANNOT be used with Islam. First of all, Islam is waayyyy OLD than Marmon, dating back to 7th century BC. Second of all, Islam is supported by gazzinion of scriptures that develop in chapters, supporting Gods reported gradual revelation's. Not to mention, Islam is also supported by other major Religion dominion such as Christianity and in some view-- Judaism---in that we all share countless of scripture which prove ultimately our source is one and one ONLY. Alaaah swt.
Marmonism was created by a modern and recently dated idiot in the mid 1800. Its like the African americans inventing their holiday "Kwanza"---- ridiculous wont u agree?

I had a great aunt, of whom I was very fond, some of whose statements the family is still quoting three generations removed. One of her dillies comes to mind: "There is no accounting for taste."

Re: Atheism exploding in Saudi Arabia
Yes, Saudi are not the paragon model of a good strict Muslim society. But they do come close to it. They have been influenced by the oil riches, and the general lax lifestyle of the country. But conservative they are, no question about that. In Saudi --Being Muslim is a culture more than a religion. Women covered in Burkhahs, Mosques every where, Ramadhan month and later Eid is the highlight of the 12 months. Sure, they could do better, but I cant find another Muslim country that can compare to adhering the strict rules of Islam as they have.
