Dating - what's your style?

Post by BlackVelvet »

In a Somali context how do you date?

Are you the astaqfurullah did she just say dating, a man and a woman shouldn't talk on the phone let alone be in a dark place watching fitna

Is dating just going out to starbucks with someone every so often before you decide they're okay to marry

Do you date for fun even though you know you're not going to marry at that time/marry that person?

Sure I guess, though I'd take her somewhere where I wouldn't be caught by the feds (hooyoyinka) so Starbucks doesn't sound bad

I date to marry personally. I can't be around the type of guy I can't see myself with in the future. Looks, intelligence, ambitious and great sense of humor...its got to all be there. :)

So every girl you go out with is potentially your future wife, dating is like an assessment centre/interview?

Girls love someone with a future plans, someone who doesn't just want to smash and never call again, Somali girls are so gullible I always bring the marriage topic make her feel special and when I smash I never call works everytime. :stylin:

Lol not necessarily like an interview, but I would date a girl for the intention of finding out if she'll be the one whose feet will be my kids' Jannah :)
In my defense, I've never gone on an official date

You are disgusting. Hoorta how do people talk/act like this and feel proud?? I hope your 'boy'hood falls off.

@Jasmine, If it comes up too early, you know he's after the goods. Just gotta be careful, somali guys (Like gulaid) are snakes, and aplenty.

If it comes up naturally, eventually, well, you go with the flow.

You've actually clarified my question for me

How can you go with the flow and not be on a one track mind (marriage) if you're not dating for fun by going with the flow?
