Language is nothing important. Just because people share same or similar language it doesn't mean much. The entire languages spoken in the Horn are more or less the same or similar. Language is not a good case at all.

Warsheekh,

Those are Wanlwein refugees who made their way into Crown Hotel. Had Somaliland not take in so many Hutu refugees, these sort of things would not happen. That's when happens when one does not protect his culture and values by allowing foreign spoils to roam around freely.

looool. Your in denial as usual. M25 took the video and he can certainly tell you whether it's ''wanlaweyn'' or your folks. Talk is cheap.

Warsheekh,

They are most definitely the impure Wanlawein race and even if not we know they were influenced by Wanlawein. Had Hargeisa not welcomed so many bare foot Wanlawein refugees, this would not have happened. This is what I mean by preserving culture. Until the civil war, Somaliland has largely avoided Bantunization.

Somaliland needs to seal its borders with Wanlawein and relocate all Wanlawein refugees in Taleex or near the Puntland border.

There should not be refugee camps inside or near Hargeisa.

We have to purify our society. I strongly believe in the northern purity including the pure Habesha race in the north. That's why I accept them more than I accept Wanlawein whom apparently we "share language and religion" as if 1.3bn others don't practice Islam.

I completely reject you guys and your Bantu cultures including niiko. No need to take it personal.

The pure Lander culture

This is how a typical conversation goes when someone asks me where I'm from

White person: So where are you from?
Me: Canada
White person: No...where are you really from?
Me: ...Canada. I was born here
White person: What are you?
Me: Somali
White person: There you go, wasn't so hard eh?

Other Muslims know the difference between Somalia and Somaliland (one of my non-Somali friends asked me about Awdal State lol)

Where you from usually means yaad tahay. And the answer is SOMALI!

If the person in question shows little knowledge of the horn then its only fair to explain where one is from.

Somaliland may have made a "mistake" in the past because of the Union in the 60s but doesn't mean trying again will be also a mistake.

Hope is the foundation and ground every Muslim is standing on and to claim otherwise is just plain blasphemy.

And that's not a quote from Kukri Bulaale but from Sheikh Mustafe xaaji Ismaciil.
Kukri - Do you think Somaliland should try to unite under one nation with Somalia?

No i dont think it has to do with being pure isaaq, but more on the contribution one makes for his country if he is willing to fight for his country on all fronts defend it against any one , How many pure isaaqs from mother and father side have turned into sell outs , and oppose Somaliland the last dirty woqoyi gunned down in xamar for example was one.
@ Mr.Prestige: That was not what I implied, and though I realise it appears that way, it wasn't the perspective I was thinking of. I was reflecting on myself, how much I may be considered, at least blood-wise, a "Somalilander", and how much more I need to learn about my beloved country, so I can support it better.

@ Khalid: true walal but tbh you can find rotten apples in every culture, and you can never apologise enough for their actions, nor should you have to. They're not a reflection of the people they represent/come from/belong to. However it tires me to see many posts on here and perhaps other media/social networking outlets of "Pure Somalilanders" nit-picking ridiculous amounts of faults at dhulka hooyo iyagoo laftarkoodu waxbana utaraynin. Then when asked what did you do, they come up with a billion & 1 excuse (busy, shaqo, ciyaal, wax barasho, etc).
That's some how Muslims in the West act too when Iraq or Syria or Palestine get attacked; they blame them for warmongering or inciting/fueling the problem (or others would blame other/gulf Arabs for not doing anything). At the end of the day, Allah isnt going to play the blame game. He'll question each and every person on their actions. Kii wax qabta, ducana ha ahaatee (waxa ugu yar oo naftaada dhibaateeneyn) ayaa boqolkiiba boqol kawacan kuwa kabadan ee faraha isu taagaya/isku mudaya). Wallahu tacaalaa aclam.
