You can't take new somaliland driving licenses with out your blood type on it'' says the Minister of Public Work, Housing & Transportation mudane Abdirasaq Khaliif Ahmed. Somaliland is now one of the first countries in the world to adopt this new regulation.

yes, its for alerting rescuers to the person’s blood type.if the injured person cant speak the rescuer should look at the drivers licence . its not just blood type but there could be many other optionals e.g like what you are allergic to. its all about things that matter in emergence situations.

Qabiil is more important when taking national ID. The government is going to use sub clan chiefs to make sure that somalilanders only are taking the new IDs .
