I just came back from a trip to Tanzania back in Xamar now. Trust me one of the most beautiful countries in Africa!!

I was there for 3 short weeks for work purpose, however took the advantage of some personal time. Some parts of Dar es Salaam reminds me of the Old Mogadishu like Xamar Weyne and Shingaani. The city is beautiful though it is dirty and not so superior in terms of infrastructure. There are some nice sky scrappers but not so consistent. In terms of living cost it is quite expensive.

There is large Somali community over there and they are actually doing quite well over there. I didn't had the chance to visit the Zanzibar Island though.

If Mogadishu has 5 years of absolute peace and stability it will surpass Dar es Salaam significantly. Both are coastal towns but the temperature and weather of Mogadishu is 100x much better. It was hot and humid over here.

It is expensive place, Kenya is much cheaper. I didn't pay for my accommodation and flight ticket, however the spending money I used weren't that much, probably around 1200 dollars for the 3 weeks. It is Ramadan so I didn't eat much. Most stuff I bought were souvenirs and gifts etc.

There aren't that many Somalis businesses compared to Kenya in Tazania. However most businesses here are hotels, real estates and energy, so the high end type of business.
