Re: Breaking Aplha group attacking Daaci
It don't matter if he saved the district from Al-Shabaab. He has no rights to have any militia at this day and age. He ain't the only person that was attacked at 4:00am, so was Cabdi Waal and others bringing chaos near the airport (couldn't leave buulo xubeey the whole day). They were constantly told to hand over their small militia and weapons and refused. At least Indho Cadde handed over his boys to the government back in 2011, so should they. I support Ciidamada nabad sugiida for doing such raids, it brings a clear cut message. No time for begging, it's all actions that matters. Can't wait for the next target.Osob101 wrote:No one is against disarming, you guys are not in Xamar and only relying on Media. Going after someone as Daaci at 4;00 with out any sense of negotiation was a big mistake. Did the government disarm him now? NO He has stated either he dies or those who will come after him will die. The man has a huge base support for saving that district from Al Shabab and blue he is right, Daaci did protect AMISOM when the entire city went out of their hands. Shirib both Suudi and Mohammed Dhere came back after the UIC lost and were armed again. Remember their weapons was just handed to their clan by the UIC so they got it back and were disarmed by AY who negotiated.
Also there were never any sort of disarmament during AY period, the guy was under Ethiopian Tanks and left with them, they didn't had time to rule Mogadishu when they were under constant bombardment from ICU, if anything AY brought back warlordism back to Mogadishu after ICU kicked them out.
ICU are the only force since 1991 that fought against warlordism, and thankfully this government has followed suit. Let's take away cadiifad qabiil, I know the raid has brought some clan sentiment recently, but people need to move on pass this. The government is not targeting any clan, they are targeting men with militia's. Somalis should stop looking at things from clan level all the time.

Osob,
Going forward what should happen if Daaci will not disarm? Should we go back to every one retaining their own forces and having clan fights? There can't be clan militias running around carving out their own turf.

are you people serious? what the f! some of you support warlords fighting military-men and running around in the city with their own army? this one question will prove how hopelessly dumb you are, would you want people to have their own militias running around the cities of your adopted countries? i doubt it, yet you want that for your own motherland? i don't really support this government cause really its a foreign project but at the same time i don't want it to fail cause one day maybe some capable and good people could take over nor do i support anybody else other then the security forces running around with heavy guns or any guns at all. if i support my HG warlords against disarm-ants do you think other people wont support theirs?
We've suffered enough long for some individuals personal cause. this can not continue and it must stop. you CAN NOT have your own militia army in the city or anywhere in the country.
you think your life is at risk? fuck off to somewhere you feel safe. plain and f-king so simple little kids could grasp the concept.
The time has come for us to concentrate on the civilians welfare instead of wasting their lifes for some stupid selfish individuals. No To Anarchy

He can be disarmed but the way this was done is totally wrong. Anyways its too late now damage has already been done and remember every single house in the city is armed.Shirib wrote:Osob,

Some people either just don't understand or wont want to understand the seriousness of this situation. Listen to you a guy is seen as a warlord gunman or moryan from the comfort of your western bedroom but to his clan back home because of what happened since 91 he is their protectorate his gun is their gun and if you violently violate him it is automatically seen as violating them which automatically can turn deadly.
Also most of these guns these people have are not from their own pockets but either a war booty from siad barre era or given to them to fight ICU alshabaab ETC. Now they have done their job and are forever wanted man you cant just say ok that is it give me the weapons i gave you to put your life in risk for me back and take care of yourself.
This government first needs to work on its corruption and monitor the guns it now has while winning the hearts and minds of locals. They need to proof they are a real government instead of a foreign rubber stamp one which can get on the first flight out of the country if shit goes wrong. Second show it can protect itself first without an entourage of amisom bodyguards whether it is for crossing the street or sleeping in the villa.
Once you have done those have a serious conference like they did it in the north create several warehouse for each clan where these weapons can be safely stashed. These warehouses need to have 2 sets of keys for each doors one for the government one for the clan elders.
Once you have that out of the way promise those who are wanted by alshabaab with enough personal bodyguards to protect themselves. People its not difficult but we somalis like to dramatize everything 10 fold and reason why we're still in this mess.
blue Jacfar is one step ahead of damul jadid he knew what was coming. He integrated most of his troops either in the army police or intelligence during sharifs time got his demand of choosing his successor which is his little nephew buried 80% of his weapons given to him by amisom by the way 6 feet deep. The rest of the 20% 10% he left it with his successor rest he took it with with him to his new job. Even if that marka mission fails the guy has his back up to become a successful businessmen with road building vehicles worth over $500k alone
Marques seems i have jumped the gun too quick (you know how shit goes) for this has Topaz hands all over it
