Serving Burnt food to guest.

Post by Julkimi »

So let's say you had an important guest in your house, and you were cooking for that person, but you burned the food, they're waiting for the food but the food is slightly burnt. You have no room to panic. Would you serve them the food or start all over again while guest is getting hungry and cranky?

P.s

I live in MN, I don't cook for guests, I buy from Somali restaurants. :diddy:

Rule #1: Cook before they arrive and make several dishes as back-ups/compliments.
Rule #2: Prep (cut up veggies, meat, spices, marinade, etc) before cooking. That way you don't have to worry about not paying enough attention to what's on the stove.

That being said, I haven't burnt food for guests before. One time my fish was crispier in one baking tray than another but that was because one was glass and one was ceramic.

Zubeir: I stopped eating at xamdi's back in 2009. And never went back in there.
Lillahiya: Great thinking, but aint nobody got time to cook all of that food.
