Why do Somali youth radicalize serious Topic+Solutions
What is it that drives them what are they missing in life what is the need for them to travel across the world and fight in a war they have no stake in. In the last few years Somali youth have joined Militant groups such al shabaab closer to Home. But also in various Arab states radical Jihadi groups in Syria Iraq. And what i have noticed is they radicalize very fast there is not one system , they pick up an al hadiith book and read a few pages of the Quran and they have become an Caalim in Islam and before you know it they wear Khamees and the Arab Cimaama. They try to re organize their home i have noticed many of these youth are raised by a single mother , there was no Father at home and if there was one he was never involved in religion never prayed. Its seems Somali youth are looking for a different life style. I dont get why Somali youth have lived most of their lives in Western countries where there is education work a free life style wish to fight for a cause so far away , what is what drives them to go there and fight it cant be just religious beliefs?

I think it comes down to the lack of father figures in the Somali home. Either the fathers are chasing the next tail or sleeping off a heavy chewing section. Expecting the the mothers to take both rolls. In that case failures in our youth is expected.
Solution again lies with our men manning up and taking responsibly. Being a good role models and not leaving big bearded Arab guy to radicalize them.

Perhaps they've entertained having another role in this world? Discovered a neat scapegoat?
I don't know. It's terrible,
Re: Why do Somali youth radicalize serious Topic+Solutions
Because they are dumb semi literates
Many of them have a history of violence and terrorizing people
Averse to reading and researching the diin for themselves and reaching their own conclusions
& instead love to outsource their learning to provincial fat bellied bumbling buffoons who have no deep understanding of the complex world we live in or even the very religion they claim to espouse.
As a result of all of the above they instantly become infatuated with the spiritually dry, formulaic, downright bizarre teachings of the Salafiyyah sect& its offshoots.
May Allah s.w.t hasten its demise and demise of the Mahlaka that feeds & fattens it and then unleashes it upon the rest of the Ummah to wreak its trademark chaos and destruction...amiine

It cant be a father figure i know allot of Somalis who had no father figure in their life and turned out fine heck i believe the vast majority of the Somali males in Qurbaha have been brought up by a single hooyo. There is something wrong with these kids. I believe these kids are missing something in their life and i think they dont have a strong spiritual mind they cant think clearly.

1. weak family bond.
2. lack of things going for them in life, like success in education, career, marriage etc.
3. lack of knowledge about the diin, people who paid no attention in dugsi usually end up becoming terrorist trying to learn the diin fast later on in life and falling into the hands of the wrong crowd.
4. they have problems and lack of support from friends, family, community or society at large.

They are in most cases people who failed in life.
So they think by joining ISIS they can succeed by killing civilians and when killed they enter paradise! How can they think that Allah is pleased with them knowing the fact that Allah forbade killing of innocent humans?
They are losers in this life and hereafter.

Maybe, we Somalis carry a violent gene and it is why we destroyed our country and many young Somalis are either attracted to gangs and jihadists. Visit any major western city and young Somalis are over-represented in the jails.
Now, the Saudi king is telling Europe and America, the jihadists are on their way to your countries. It is time for Somali parents and older siblings to actively been involved in these angry young men's lives.
New access granted as Saudi king says Europe faces attack unless it acts fast,

Re: Why do Somali youth radicalize serious Topic+Solutions
Majority of people who join radical groups, gangs, terrorist organizations are individuals who feel purposeless, lost, generally impressionable and/or want to work towards a greater cause. A lot are social pariahs; people who have been marginalized from greater society or on a smaller scale, the "losers" of their class at school or work. They want to be and feel important and that's what these groups/organizations offer. When joining, they have an entire network of members who they can relate to, people that they can form platonic relationships, protection, respect, a title, a purpose, etc.
