The first painting was made pre WW1 and second was made after Max Beckmann experienced the horrors of trench warfare (he was in the ambulance service)

I think I have developed a new interest, which is exploration of the mind of artist.

I believe sick mind have the capacity to see the insane, within the sane world but, their sanity is confined in the insanity.
A sick mind might express highly moral and logical expressions but that expression is a blur in the initial intend.

Such expressions are interpreted as sane but did the insane person want to be a sane expression, and what is the root of such an expression?
Was the intend of a rough diamond to be polished for it to sho case its characteristics- No, because it’s in the nature of the diamond to be rough, it’s only the primitive mind, a sick mind that cannot see the beauty of the natural diamond who wants it to perfect it, grind it, polish it as to give the illusion of “beautiful”, now that is Preternatural in my view.

There is a point to my views and that is I believe the modern somali culture was produced by isane mind, don`t get me wrong not insane in the classical and clinical sense but in the sense of degenerate that sprung up from the swamp that is the somali conflict
That why expressionist would found current somali culture interesting because the skinn has been removed and we experiencing cultural licentious
