There's nothing that can be done for Somalis to be liked...because Somalis are hated for who they are. They are hated because of their personality. Whenever a nationality is disliked or hated,it's usually because the people who hate them thinks they're stealing their jobs, education, money, etc etc. However, this is not the case with Somalis. You dont have to do much, all it takes is to be different. If you fail to integrate or even assimilate then people will dislike you and those like you. For example speaking in your language in public settings, wearing niqab, different cultural customs, different mentality.

integrate and assimilation aren't something i would advice Somalis to do, holding on to your language, culture, faith and keeping a sense some family structure is what Somalis in diaspora are struggling with, we are not even doing a good job holding on to these things.

There's a big difference between the vast hatred of Somalis and the dislike some people may have towards Asians. Indians and Pakis are not hated or ridiculed - only some people dislike them because they believe these Asians are taking their jobs and money. But Somalis are hated for who they are...they are hated because of their personality and behavior. And Asians are respected on a large scale because they are known to be hard workers and educated people. Somalis are not neither of those.

Your being unnecessarily alarmist here, you dont realize that you see things this way because its purely from your own perspective. An Indian who experiences daily discrimination would be tunnel viewed like you are being. The truth is all minority groups are disliked some parhaps more than others but the racists who have these views hardly stick to picking out one group especially one as small as the somali, an example is that the whites in some parts of the country use the word "paki" to refer to anything that its b backwards or to be disdained. These same inferiority complex blacks are reviled themselfes by whites for there high crime rate. Fair enough it may be true we may have fewer fans becasue of the fucked up state of the country and the fact we hve not assimilated but these are all common reasons are ethnic groups are disliked. i disagree with the notion that Somalis are inherently bad people or not easy to get along with, that is factually inaccurate. the other thing i would say to you is my little sister, i was raised to not seek acceptance from anybody. i don't really care about who hates me for whatever reason; i do what makes me and my loved ones happy, i don't put myself in a position where anybody can unfairly judge or question my being and if that happens i make sure to correct them sternly.

While Somalis are hated in every single they reside in, however, the level of hatred spewed at Somalis in the UK is nothing I have ever seen. It's on a whole other level. Black people especially hate Somalis in the UK. West Africans and Caribbeans hate Somalis the most, then Arab/Asians, and then the Whites. I was literally so shocked to see how much Somalis are hated in the UK...they are insulted so much on twitter, facebook, in real life, etc. Somali girls are considered to be the ugliest females in the UK...and they are isolated because other races don't want them, Somali guys are called ugly constantly, Black people don't even consider Somalis as Black...they isolate Somalis. This may be true, I doubt everyone is all lovey dovey truley. I don't think blacks are "jealous" of Somali's, if anything I see somali's copying them, and not the other way around. What are you talking about? It is the Somalis who are suffering. Somalis are THE poorest and least educated ethnic group in the UK. I never said other ethnic groups don't experience racism...every group experience racism in one way or another......but Somalis experience the most racism. I never said other ethnic groups don't experience racism...every group experience racism in one way or another......but Somalis experience the most racism.
