Why can't they decipher it on their own, look for familiar words and see how the alphabet is made up and after that search for books. No ambition, they are dependent on foreigners for everything even their own language. :meles: Illaahow ceebteena astur

If you didnt go to somalia or left at a young age you will not be able to read and write in somali. Given that there are no extra curricular schools teaching somali, one is essentially left to learn how to read somali through relatives or self education.my auntie taught be the basics and then I learnt how to fluently read somali on the net. Other communities such as gujaritis, punjabis and hindis have extra curricilular clubs where their children learn how to read and write their native anguages .somalis dont have that and their language may become extinct In the west.
