Re: Reminds Me Of Primary School
It's fifty fifty actually. I remember when I was in Standard 8 and we were to sit the final exam, I dropped from position 5 to position 20 in my class (Of 72). After the release of the results, they lined up the whole class and thrashed the whole class, subject by subject (We did 7 subjects). 9 teachers were doing the thrashing and you had to get from one teacher to the other to receive your thrashing. It started at 8 in the morning and ended at 10. We would sing and we got thrashed in a train-like movement.LoveandLight wrote:That's terrible!
In the next exams, I emerged second in class. The guy who was always top seemed impossible to beat. Sometimes, kids need a little caning for them to take education seriously.
Having said that, if this boy can't add at that age, then beating him won't help. It needs a radical approach to help the boy - something that I don't know whether the school has the resources for.

Perhaps the poor child has learning disabilities.

How cruel of her qumayada! 0.o
Harsh physical punishment only increases the risk of mental disorders. If the child has learning difficulties extra support is a must; different teaching method / focusing on the areas that need improvement.

I agree. Children could get scarred for life.Bella18 wrote:How cruel of her qumayada! 0.o

Millions of children live with violence as a normal occurrence in their lives. Violence begets more violence.
