Re: Egypt wants to replace Amisom in xamar and kismayo
Take this rule:amisom=IGAD
Was commanded by IGAD that's why...but r acting in the AU name and r controlled by ethiopian and uganda
Amisom has a UN security mandate, therefore no one can replace them before their mandate comes to end or getes replaced by a UN mission for example, in this case both turkey and egypt can be part of it
Egypt is in south sudan under the UN mission
This mission was going to replace amisom but the decided first to use the blacks as foot soldiers and clean al shabaab from the land
Then as a security keeping mission may...but now they started concentrating on SNA so that scenario may not happen

Good to have you back mr sahalsahal80 wrote:Don't mean to discredit you but never heard of this scenario and its unlikely to happen
Farest scenario is deploying egyptian guard units at the foreing embassies and interests in mogadishu but even this one couldn't go through for some xisaabaat, was suggested by egypt when sisi was new
Egypt has troops in south sudan and mali
Egypt is a very important country for somalia, the first country who ever recognized the somali republic
Egypt can play diplomatic channels for the govt among the arab world since its the HQ of the arab league
Also saudis and the UAE are pressuring on the govt regarding the relations with sisi
Basically they r holding an arab financial conference on somalia but it will take place in egypt!
Arab league have allocated to the govt a $10m budget support(monthly) and this is parts of the president agenda in this visit to get started
Egypt gives somalia 400 scholarship a year
Egypt will train the army and the security forces wich is great also can sell weapons to us
There was an army transaction with mursi in wich qatar pays for them but this project has gone with him
Qatar itself is getting rid of the muslim brotherhood in order to better her image, has deported 7 leaders so far.
We cannot be used by anyone but the relations with egypt can force ethiopia to take off her hands from somalias regional affairs!
With president al sisi

Re: Egypt wants to replace Amisom in xamar and kismayo
That all depends on Somalis, but that proposal will be put on the table...sharif sakiin is working on the Ethiopians to come to kismayo and replace the sierra Leone forces, but Egypt is in talks with somalia for many reasons. ..and one of them is replacing amisom. ..it is in their interest ( obvious reasons ) and ours to train the SNA in somali soil....sahal80 wrote:Don't mean to discredit you but never heard of this scenario and its unlikely to happen

True, no one can replace amisom since they are mandated by UN security as you stated. ..but they can join first and replace them in the long run...

Re: Egypt wants to replace Amisom in xamar and kismayo
30 million somalis will use cheap electricity directly from the nile river if we somalis back ethiopia, what are we getting if Egypt wins to stop that project ? Nothing. All kilil 5 and Djibouti cities use the cheap Nile electricity, and we have already agreed with the ethios to supply borama, hargeisa, gebiley and most other towns in western Somaliland withing the next 2 years. Beledweyne baydhaba and galkacyo can have the same service withing the same time. we must support ethiopia when it comes the nile river dispute.

Do I support Egypt replacing other african union. Yes , its good power balancing for somalia. Ethiopia is number 1 political enemy of somalia so its always right to have good relations with their enemies. Dad cadaawe dal cadaawaa laga galaa.

Ef Egypt. Government should lobby to invest in the Somali National Army and request an exit strategy and date for the foreigners in the country to leave asap.

http://www.hiiraan.com/news4/2014/Dec/9 ... _exit.aspx"If there is a request from the African Union, Ethiopia is ready to replace any contingent that leaves Somalia," he told reporters, adding that Ethiopian troops were already operating in "more than 60 percent of Somali territory."
Ethiopian leader casually states that they own and run 60% of Somalia, and all you xoolo can argue about is which foreign army you would like to occupy your soil and impregnate your women.
What does a man do when the vast majority of his people are daanyeero futo-gadoodan without an ounce of dignity, xishood, or self-respect?

Why can't we have Somali men defending Somali people? Is that too much to ask?

When you like to talk about these big politics first you need to know what is the current process and who controls it(as you stated egypt being able to join them)
Egypt and ethiopia fighting inside somalia?
Even the official visits r making problems!

Re: Egypt wants to replace Amisom in xamar and kismayo
Bullshit. Wax ka jir ma leh. You make it look like Somalia can't survive without foreign troops, when in fact some of our soldiers are one of the best trained in Africa. No more foreign troops in Somalia. The current ones will be leaving within 2 years.
