the quraan is in arabic..........if you truly respect your made up religion the least you can do is learn the language it was written in..plus my whole family only speaks arabic at home so i learned it before i even learnt to speak somali

Why would I need to learn arabic when there is translations of hadiths and the Holy Quran in every language? Respecting your religion doesn't equal to learning arabic. There are millions of arabs who know arabic and that doesn't mean they follow the religion more than a non-arabic speaking muslim. You are an atheist you don't get to dictate how our religion should be respected.

im not dictating anything...just passing a thought....anywhoo....their are a lot of non arab muslims (including converts) who studied arabic so that they can understand the quran better....some translations aren't as accurate as they would be had they been read in arabic....but whatever

It is recomennded to learn sufficient Arabic if someone really wants to comprehend the essence of the Qur'an, and it's other-worldyness.
