It was absolutely clear skies last night, far more stars were visible than in the video. I wish I could record lol, my phone sucks.
Nice clip though. I swear the music is straight off Interstellar or something though

Wow! That looks amazing!
I always wondered why all these Maryooleys going back home (for a visit or business, whatever) with these latest cameras, as well as smartphones with great cameras, weren't making such videos. It's shame that most such videos are usually made by foreigners.

And no, smartphones don't capture this quality. It's those $500+ Cannon types.

Maryooley = Somalis. Never heard of that before? It's like a slang & not sure if it's used in all regions.
You're right, it's usually the higher end DSLR & Pro cameras that shoot such videos but can some of the latest smartphones as well (can't remember the brand but I was watching a review of a mobile phone couple of days ago and I think the reviewer mentioned time lapse and some other great features). The point is, we Somalis suck at even simple things. lol

No interest.
I regret it at times, like last night. Sometimes I take pics, but the cam doesn't reflect the beauty that you can see with your eyes, so it's like uhhh delete.
Thanks. Is it for women only? Or gender neutral?

Maryooley? It just means Somalis, regardless of gender. lol
Some people even use it with the word Somali as in 'Soomaali Maryooley'. Don't know how and where it originated and the history behind it but heard it a lot back home.
You're right, pics/videos can never be as good as what the eye can see (reminded me a clip of Louis CK talking about the same thing lol) but there are some scenes that you wish you had a camera with you and will always regret that you didn't photograph them.

^ LOL! Still I don't understand how the term came to be but when you try to make a sense of it, it just doesn't make sense.
