That was black power golden era of music/culture . Nothing cool about a 54kg somali wearing baggy trousers and exposing the same nigis he has been wearing for two weeks.

Because you dimwit, Somalis who acted like Jareers back in the 1970's were imitating people like James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Lionel Richie, and Michael Jackson.

Those men were NOTHING like the gangster thugs you see in today's "African-American culture". The difference is like night and day. Back in those days, Black culture wasn't so destructive. Today, it's literally a poison that will destroy your life if you partake in it. Ask the hundreds of Somali brothers currently languishing in prison just in Toronto, and they'll agree with me.

Adoon culture is poison

African American culture

It's so sad to see what these once proud sons & daughters of Africa have been reduced to. Very hopeless situation. It really doesn't help that we share a skin colour too, as that means more likelihood for cultureless Somali kids to to get swept away & identify with that culture.

That is very true and I totally agree 100%

Too many Somali kids with an identity-crisis get swept away and they start to imitate this dangerous Adoon culture. Rap music, heavy jewelry on men, baggy clothes, and criminal behavior is a feature of "African-American hip hop culture" and it has brought nothing but trouble for the Somalis who partake in it.

These African-Americans also heavily degrade their own women and call them "hoes" and "thots" and "bitches" while making rap-songs bragging about their sexual exploits. They even make songs bragging about killing each other

Contrary to what the multi-culturalists say, all cultures are NOT equal. Some cultures are indeed superior to others. And I will never respect the Adoon African-American culture.

while somalis imitating real nikkas= bad
crimes will exist with or without hiphop if you took the time to notice rap nowadays is about female's and stunting not about violence Image

The MailMan,
You do make very good points usually but por favor desist from using the "Adoon" cay, you seem to love it. The real adoons are six feet under and would turn in their graves if they knew what became of their descendants.

And please for the love of God that you claim to believe in ...Somali Jareerweyne community amaan si.

I have never criticized the Jareerweyne community. I've praised them on numerous occasions. When you hear me speak, I'm talking about the Mushunguli Bantus from Tanzania who live in the Kismayo region of Somalia. Those are the foreigners who live in our country and THEY are a serious problem.

I have nothing but love for the Jareerweyne people of Somalia

They are not the same. They are not the same people. People here keep making that mistake, confusing the two of them. The Jareerweyne people and the Bantus are not the same and they have nothing to do with each other. Trust me, I know Jareerweynes who absolutely cannot stand the Bantus who live in Somalia. The Bantus are a foreign people, with foreign mannerisms and foreign behavior and they should go back to their original homeland, which is Tanzania.

Are you kidding me? Have you ever heard of Chiraq music, which is a huge hit right now amongst Somali youth in Canada and the USA? Look at this and tell me this isn't destructive and disgusting:

Well it is VERY VERY true , Back then there was something noble about REGGAE , freedom , love for community , etc..ect.. and hip hop used to be cool .
Now it is ABHORRENT , all about ass, getting high and making money by selling things to your community that ultimately destroys it , {whether it is drugs or pimp behaviour } who wants to be associated with that ?

I may have a dark skin , bu I am noble man FIRST !
