You can`t even see the progress that Somalia is making in every field.
Compare Somalia with 2006 and you see a steady progression
Somalilanders care more about symbolic things then actual things like their flag hanging on a pole.
I
am not fan of Somalia but things are really moving fast and on the right direction.
Definition of crazy is doing the same thing over again and expecting a different result, Somalia is not crazy because Somalia is changing
Southerners are willing to change and compromise versus somalilanders dogmatic perennial attitude is what differentiate us in terms of political culture.

to be honest i think reer Waqooyi used to be very smart but since they created Somaliland it seems they are becoming less smart because they don't think outside the Box and that Box is Somaliland.
i had conversation with many isaaqs including a Xildhibaan in Somaliland government and walaahil cadiim they act like a teenagers, all they know is Hargeeysa iyo Burco and how Somaliland is the most powerful state in East Africa.
Somalia will be like Ethiopia and Kenya very soon insha Allaah because we think outside the box

a great example is the many leaders who visited Muqdisho like the presidents of Uganda, Turkey Djibouti, and the UN. remember the British? the so called father of Somaliland? well they have decided to open their Embassy in Muqdisho instead of Hargeeysa, can you tell me why that is? why is Somaliland neighbours Djibouti Ethiopia and the Arabs hate Somaliland and why they never visit Hargeeysa?
Remember the blessed city of Muqdisho just few years ago was at war and now powerful leaders are visiting and are opening their Embassies
Muqdisho

Great point monsieur PerfectPerfect_Order wrote:I think Typhoon is making very strong points. Just look at the Politics of the TNG/TFG era and now, it is constantly changing, and very dynamic. Yet, there is ever greater and greater maturity, and sophistication. Look at the level of international relations they have, look at how Somalia is consolidating into one state bit by bit. It is not a smooth process, but we are viewing the emergence of a dynamic state, that is greater than it's borders.
The politics of Somalia is forever intertwined internationally, something Somaliland has not been able to do in 20 odd some years. Somaliland has for better or worse sealed itself within it's perceived "borders." Sure that gives them stability, but it also leads to stagnation. Look at the age of their politicians, and their ministers, what is their average age, and one has to ask themselves where is the new blood? It's still very much an snm state, yet Mogadishu can not be classified as USC or SNA or SSDF or whatever else.
As for Amisom, look at how Southerners were able to incorporate them into their machinations and politics. I swear Amisom is mind boggled and doesn't know what is going on, they all came in very naively, except Ethiopia. They thought they were to just fight Al Shabab, but look at how they are being used by people non-aligned to Al shabab. They won't be here forever, and we all know that, but it doesn't mean we will turn back lawlessness.

Emperior you prove my point, compare your own southern influenced political disposition with a born and bred somalilander, its truly night and day, even in somalinet we can see that.Khalid Ali wrote:Typhoon wrote:Rambie

There is some truth of what you say but you are not putting it in the right context . Koonfurians never compromise its not in their culture , they are cunning but not in a positive way Ethiopia Kenya always has the upper hand against them. Because their politics is based on clan politics and the Zero Sum game is what destroyed them. Somalilanders are people who collectively operate Koonfurians are individualistic. Somalilanders try to shine together , Koonfurians want to out do each other each and every one on his own. in Any Society Somaliland has a more healthier Political culture. Somalilandes are people of codes and Honer and principles ethics and ideologically, thats why we were what was making the former Somali republic thrive since we have left Hell broke lose. The Koonfurians of the 1960s were corrupt but they had the Somali state in their right mind and they were politically very advanced But they were working for the Somali state. Today one is working for Jubbaland Puntland south western state bartamaha state.
