Re: Are you living the American dream
I live in America, have a job and very supportive and loving family. I am a Muslim and thank Allah every day I am on this earth with health and my body intact. I make dua to Allah to forgive my sins and that of my parent. I I make dua to Allah that he will show me the right path while I, as a human being, am susceptible to go stray. (Amen)
That is my dream.
That is my dream.

Probably, not the sort of dream the OP had in mind, but it is certainly the one we should all be aiming for, in our ephemeral existence, here on earth.gegiroor wrote:I live in America, have a job and very supportive and loving family. Mashallah. That's a great dream to live in.gegiroor wrote:I live in America, have a job and very supportive and loving family. But like I said, I meant the AMERICAN Dream, which is a melting pot and I was not necessarily talking about religion wise..

Idman, America is challenging for someone who is a minority but still allows the minorities to prosper far better than Canada and EU. One thing good about this country is the business opportunity and the free market economy. Its limitations are lack of universal healthcare and affordable undergraduate education where students who complete their undergrads carry at least 55K USD student loans.
I am saddened by persistent attacks against Islam and Muslims in Fox News and right-wing conservatives. The left in this country is somehow dwindling in order to challenge the wing-nuts. Therefore, my views is mixed.
Thanks Idman!

I make 3600 a month...not much..,but it's enough for me to take care of my family and even save...I am allowed to worship freely...at the beginning of every year I get 8k back..I own 2 cars...I take vacations every 3 months...I have my own castle which has all these entertainment gadgets...I'm abt to be an official father
...I was able to accumulate 2 throw 2 weddings in the space of 7 years..each costing me 36k...
So I thank Allah ...

^ Are you advertising to Idman so she can inquire as to your financial prospects? loll But mashaAllah, good for you. Doing well.
Minus wanting a second wife.
Julz love, I wonder if the 'American dream' applies to Americans only? Or are you referring to the ideal of working for your riches and succeeding? I know a lot of Americans who work hard and come back here for vacations and mashaAllah they and their families are happy.
However, becoming a possible cast member of the Real housewives of Minnesota/Ohio/etc, not likely. I wonder why that is.

Evol: I was talking about the real American Dream, from rags to riches, from the bottom to the top, to the left to the left.
Menace: or maybe I could be one of your female nicks, you have the tendency of flirting with yourself at times.
