Gabari hadey shiribto waa dhaqan rogid, Shirib waa waxa ay gaaladu ugu yeerto " masculine" Raga kaliya ayaa shirba. guurowga ayaa la mid ah iyo Gabayga.

Gabdho hadey sida hoose oo kale inta isku yimaadaan u shirbaan bal ka waran? waxa ay ahaan laheyd wax dadka oo dhan ka yaabsada.

dhanka ciyaaraha waxaa jira ciyaaro " masculine" ah sida Waalada. Adigu waligaa ma aragtay Gabar Waalo ciyaareysa ? jawaabtu waa maya.
Waalo waa ciyaar dhaqmeed tartan ah, oo ragu ku kala badiyo sidaa darteed Raga kaliya ayey gooni u tahay.

I can't hear it as Shirib

Doesn't it need to have 8 syllables per line? Or is that only one type of Shirib?

 you might be right. I'm not really too sure the rules. Just that I like listening to it and watching the dance.

Thanks for the education. :rose: it makes sense now to me. Because it is a manly and men dance, then the shirib accompanying it would be done by men.

And to the rest of you brothers, thanks. Blue, le justicier, games.

Yeah half the words in even regular songs are not words that I hear being used day to day

My vocabulary is what we call a work in progress  Writing Shirib would definitely help, taas and reading, listening to music. I try to understand Cawale songs, that's my vocab teacher, bartad ku noshahay u so bakoorey, 2 new words

I tried the listening to music and going back to their lyrics. It didn't really go well for me.

I'm gonna try the novels avenue, I think then I'll get better iA

With that said cawaale adan though! :D

I remember that song very well, first time I heard it was in Xamar, my grandmother translated the lyrics for me, but thought it indecent for me to voice/sing it.
