My theory about Somali man's height is based on my observation on different localities and can be described as follows:

Shortest group: fishing communities;
Medium: farmers;
Tallest: Camel herders.

To know your forefathers's living style all what uve got to to do is see how your relatives measure up.

It is all about evolution. The fisher doesn't need height since his food is always below him. The farmer deals with trees, some tall, some short, etc. the camel herder is always looking up handling this massive animal.

That's really good observation Waryaa. Also add those who live in highlands or high altitude (mountains). They are generally shorter than everyone else, because of the downward gravity exertion which compresses your spinal and makes you shorter.

The Ethiopians from the northern highlands and mountains are midgets compared to those who live on sea level.
