You said the non may koonfur dialect is colloquial which means informal or slang
and you guys shorten everything like the examples gave.

xaa tidhi to maxaa tidhi

xoow yidhi to ma xoow yidhi

Now tell me what's is wrong with speaking like that. If anything show you guys are the ones who speak
with a slang by shortening phrases like the ghetto African Americans do with English. You guys basically bastardized the
Somali language so you have no right to be speaking so arrogantly.
I speak french and arabic and each has totally different colloquial dialect not the same they thought us in the schools

most of dialects r like that

in the media we dont use it tho

i just said ex reer badiyes think it not a good somali not that im against to speak a heavy dialect!

btw I dont speak like that I have different dialect

Well the "reer badiyes" you speak of do have a point, if you are shortening your phrases and speaking
in slang that is not "good" Somali in a technical sense. Every language has an proper and improper
way of speaking and Somali is no exception.

Wadaay does sound nice maybe I will use it but
I might have to explain it first to family and friends.

Anyways I think it's cool that we have a diverse way of
speaking. We should learn each other's way of speaking
without mocking each other.
