how do you know the conclusions and inferences are my own and not based on an educated opinion backed up by extensive reasearch on my part?

I know because it is highly unlikely that there would be studies conducted on the level of selfishness/selflessness of love based on gender and if there were the parameters would probably centre on nurturing qualities and probably point out women as more selfless

But my point was, when circumstances change for a man the woman is less forgiving of his unfortunate situation and more likely to question the relationship itself when compared to the other way around.

You compared a man losing his ability to provide and failing to get back on his feet to a woman falling sick...not sure that is a fair comparison


But we can agree that each gender has their fair share of scum and saints. I can even go as far as to say that I will probably always be biased in favour of women just as you seem to be biased in favour of your own gender

Blackvelvet, what I mean by women love opportunistically is that women love the status, the money, the choices and the carnal pleasures a man can provide for her, but not the man himself. It's more selfish in nature than the love men have for women. For example, if a married man lost his job and had his home foreclosed, and then due to the stress started developing erectile dysfunction....how many wives do u think would stay with a broke ass nigga that cant even get it up lol? And answer honestly here. Not many I think.

But lets reverse the scenario, and lets say the wife got a serious illness and wasn't able to cook or clean anymore, and could rarely have sex. How many of their husbands do you think would leave? Honest answer here.

Maybe you should consider that a man in such case will most probably take another wife. What is a woman suppose to do if he is good for nothing?

I have never been in love and I believe the term is subjective I am happy with just liking the person, respecting each others privacies and trust.
