@meta - Hey, brother! It's been an experience. Alhamdulilah, I'm done with it and now doing residency. It's not easy, but it's doable. I encourage every young Somali to give it a shot, either here in the US or elsewhere. The MCAT is not as difficult as most perceive it, there are many different ways to do it. Most of my classmates just hustled, there was nothing special about their abilities, they just showed up everyday and busted their butts.

@Talo - Salaan sare, sxb! Long, long hours, caffeine pills, @sshole attending physicians and very little pay. Pray you don't end up with a female attending, they're the worst. And be prepared to pull 48 hour shifts. Otherwise, it's better than the med school madness. I enjoy practicing it as opposed to theory, everyone is different though. I hope you get matched. It helps to do residency at the same teaching hospital as your school.

nice! mashallah bro. I don't know how much pure intelligence plays in med school but even in math school which is pretty challenging..the deciding factors end up being work ethic and discipline. A lot of smart kids already dropped and more than half of the students I know don't seem to posses any innate intelligence superiority over your average person. Anyways congrats to you bro!

:comeon: that exam literally destroyed any self-confidence I had. But I guess compared to the USMLE it's a cakewalk

@Olive - OMG....now you tell me? LOL! Hope you're doing great. Ramadan Mubarak to you and yours!

@Advo - Waan ku salaamay, abti! How's life been? Med school is like an asylum, pray you never need to attend one. Haha!

@Methyl - Don't give up, little bro. Just practice and try to find prep courses.
