Just now I finished watching a Youtube BBC documentary about Richard Nixon, the 37th president of the USA, it is amazing to see democracy in America work so beautiful that a president--resigning, letting go a dream to be the leader of the world! I thank God for the republicans existing. I thank God for the democrats existing. And also the independents, they are all beautiful and valuable in a society!

A security agent was killed and two others injured after Al-Shabab militants in Somalia attacked a national intelligence agency compound in the Somali capital Mogadishu.

VOA reported Sunday that the raid on the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) base Sunday in Mogadishu started with a suicide car bombing. Somalia’s NISA reportedly  said in a statement "The attack was successfully thwarted by our forces. None of our buildings nor bases were entered."

However, according to VOA, media reports said attackers fought their way into the facility amid intense gunfire.Officials said at least three militants were killed in the assault. Authorities told VOA the suicide car bombing hit the "wrong target," striking the door of a residential building next to the compound.

I don't know why 9 Americans dying of gun violence is more important to discuss than our own people dying because of guns , 24/7 for the past quarter century.

Bro I agree. I think this is all because we've been desensitized to all the carnage and mayhem that's going on in our country. A lot of Somalis seem resigned to the fact that their country is in chaos, much in the same way that Afghans are resigned to the fact that they're country has been under continuous chaos since 1979.

After a while, people just stop paying attention. It's heartbreaking but it's the harsh truth.

Hence why you see outrage on the Somali-killings going on in South Africa, but you won't see the same outrage when Somalis are being killed every single day in their own country.
