The name Bari

Post by Bence »

There is a region in southern Italy called Bari. Just wondering is the Bari region in Somalia named after this region in Italy?

He should get a pass since he's half white and has a non-Somali spouse. Plus, who says you have to speak Somali to discuss politics? :?

Bence,

The regional name has nothing to do with the Italians since the pasta boys only took over the region in 1927/8. You need to learn more about your people's history sxb. :ugeek:

We're all tribalists, are we not? Clearly, you're a newbie. Some of the most prominent figures that graced this forum barely spoke Somali.

At the end of the day, he is Somali and can discuss Somali politics regardless of his limited understanding of the Somali language.
