Only been in love once it was the most beautiful yet painful experience ever. My life basically revolved around him. I loved him too much that it would control my mood. He was my best friend. It took me such a long time to get over him and when we broke up I literally wanted to die. Alhamdulilah finally over it and till this day I'm actually shocked I'm over it because I would take a bullet for this guy (literally).

Mind you love is a very complicated thing and it's not how it's presented in Hollywood movies. It takes a lot of effort, patience, investment and respect.

When the love is mutual and finalized in marriage it gives you a sense of security and stability.

When you truly love someone, it's the kind of love you would have for example your brother or sister. You can't help that you love the person, you can not choose to unlove the person, you just simply do.

I mean, obviously if your other half is doing wrong and things end up in divorce or parting way, I guess the romantic feelings of being in love with that person would eventually fade.. However I think I would still love the person but perhaps not be in love anymore.

My cousin and her husband divorced few years ago after many many years of being married.. They are both married now with other people but still remain very good friends and care and love each other like friends. However not romantic love..

The experience of love differs greatly. Few of these experiences are: Mental Preoccupation with the person you love, feelings of greatness not only when you are with them but hours or moments leading to seeing them or speaking to them. It is the reason one is happy even though many who experience this happiness don't understand the happy hormones raging in their blood released by their brain to be the cause. You are happier when you have someone in your life who adores you and whom you adore. The design of mankind figures into this love saga, man for woman, woman for man, age old tradition. Love is the universal pre-occupation of mankind in general. There is no simple explanation or definition of love. You can say love provides a shuttle between hell and heaven generally. If one is successful in their love quest, it is bliss, if one fails and the outcome is not what is sought after, it is depressing.

Not everyone experiences love as above, but for those who truly fall in love, that is how it is or close.
