A visit to a restaurant in mogadishu LOL

Post by Susu000 »

So we went for dinner at a restaurant called "beach view"
Very strategically located, over looking the beach. Nice view etc..
Anyway I've noticed restaurants in mogadishu have a long way to go still in terms of service quality of food etc.

Mainly serving Baasto and bariis not even the quality and taste of the food meets restaurant standards. I honestly cook better myself. I in Mogadishu it seems that you don't go out to restaurants to enjoy a nice meal, but rather or get out and do something different.

Anyway tonight the waiter recommended a fish sandwich served with chips ( French fries). The guy half an hour later comes with a loaf of bread filled with cannned TUNA. I couldn't wait another 30 mins for something different so I just smile and ate the fries.

Smh....

They used to make good pizza and their chicken sandwich was not bad.

Someone need to teach them good personal hygiene practices that keep the workers healthy and helps to prevent the spread of disease to food. I am disgusted at what has been described here. Don't they have a "hygiene policy" or something? :| And they need to have TRAINED chefs. Wallahi, somalis have a long way to go.
