Knet - AMISOM just killed 50 people the other day....much more than the bombing of the hotel. Why are Somalis in the West more concerned with Al Shabaab?

People are concerned with Al Shabaab because that's what the mass media and western propaganda tells them to be concerned with.

KingOT - Puntland is not independent and thread is not about independence. Puntland is celebrating its birthday as a federal state within Somalia. Without Puntland, we wouldn't even have a Federal Government, the concept would not exist so its worth celebrating. The qabiil war, Shabaab, AMISOM, these would spread to every city and town if Puntland didn't have its own administration, police force etc.

According to family back home, Ethiopia have only created chaos in Somalia and threatened its stability, thats day to day life in Gobolada. The wadaads were widely supported and barely had a gun between them, they still influence how the country is run and they choose the leadership, they just took a backseat for the cameras so we can have a democracy, which not all of them were against. Everything Somalia has achieved, it achieved on its own merit. Ethiopia brings no ideological change or positives to Somalia, just truck fulls of starving amxaaro/jareer ethios who shoot at random and have flies up their nostrils. They do! Ethiopians join the army just to put one meal a day on the table, they have like 20 million people enlisted in the army, at least a quarter of the population and they look disgusting.
