This is the last place on earth one would expect to find a fish market much less a thriving one.
Incidently, the fish mongers here seem to be the most pleasant of all the traders in this most infamous of provincial towns. This may be owed in part to the fact that most of them hail from the cradle of Skinny civilization i.e the coastal towns of southern Somalia.

How the hell can you eat fish in Galkacyo?? I am pretty sure there are no refrigerated trucks running from the coast to the city. If there is fish, its probably rotten.

I guess you have not heard the recent exciting news that has been sweeping both the fishing industry and its consumers alike. Scientists at the Gaalkacyo Institute for Scientific Research (GISR) discovered means to rend rotten fish fresh again. Now, Thanks to advancement in science, reer Gaalkacyood can now enjoy eating all kinds of tasty fish and as fresh as any coastal town in Somalia.thegoodshepherd wrote:How the hell can you eat fish in Galkacyo??
