A lot of Somalis, especially when they reach their late 20's, start to shukaansi several people at once. I know guys who shukaansi 5 women at a time, and then they pick their favorite one to be their fiance. I'm sure Somali women do the exact same thing.

At least that's how it goes in Toronto. I can't speak for Somali communities in other cities.
