In Cahoots.

Post by zingii »

The president's office, the prime-minister's office, the head of parliament and members of the parliament are all in cahoots with each other.
As it appears, they have joined forces to counter the hard stance taken by the international community. Not long ago, UN representative to Somalia voiced the international community's concern when it came to possible term extension by current politicians. This stance was taken when it became apparent the envisioned one man one vote might not take place. Their hunch was confirmed when the president made the announcement that was a vote based on each citizen's voice wouldn't be taking place :( . after this announcement, the Somali political discussion changed and took another avenue. Keep in mind, the president is part of a highly orchestrated plan. After the first avenue's closure by the president, the prime minister stepped up to the plate and closed the second possible avenue which would have made possible for elections to take place using the existing 4.5 system which has produced the current leaders (run on sentence :o ). The prime minister informed the world and the Somalis in particular that the elders from the clans wont be involved in selecting new parliamentarians that would have replaced the sitting ones. :?
Now it was the speaker of parliament's turn to play the assigned role to him. He came forward and made it public that the mini governments that exist within the larger government are not on a equal footing. In the speech, the speaker belittle the recently formed administrations while placing Puntland in particular on a higher podium (Somaliland was not mentioned). This meant, the third avenue which would have seen the administration's hand selected representatives coming from their districts was also closed :| . Furthermore, the aforementioned events also meant politicians would not be coming via the party system :x . The only avenue that is open which the international community would have to abide by is the term extension by all branches of the government.

In conclusion: The motion put forward by some members of the parliament against the president is a scheme designed to defeat the opposing scheme spearheaded by the international community (Uk & US).
