a years ago, i remember an old niqabi woman, put X amount of cash in a huge envolep, asking to specificly build a masjid where ever i am from and she left.

ran after her and told her why not give to carities org? she said she wants to give direct to some one without paying to adminstrations of those orgs.

tried to talk her out and give the responsibility to some one else cause i am not gonna do what she wants. she said , do you know some one you trust? i said no. but i know loads of poor people who need more than building a masjid!!

my point; people lost trust of charty orgs. if they do their job dad badan ba poverty ka bihi laha.

i just give direct to needed people.

Like Zumaale said , the best thing to do is save your money and build a well or two in one of these remote villages it's ongoing charity
InshaAllah I am going to build few of them , the tap water we take for granted is unimaginable to a lot people back home , women and children walk for miles and miles each day just to get water .

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When the human being dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.”

Source: Sahih Muslim 1631

Just give your money directly to poor relatives in Somalia. Every Somali has them, instead of wasting it on possibly corrupt charities.
