Susu, i have similar story but sad end. Something that happened to me in 1994 when I was 16 made me loss trust in love and never felt in love again. When I was in the 8 grade (standard 8), I had my first crush on a girl called semila whom we were in the same school. Back then, guys wrote letters to girls to propose for relationship. I spent 2 weeks every night writing the letter to make it perfect. I even let a friend who was In form 2 to edit. One day in night studies, I put the letter in her mathematics text book. As I waited for accept/reject reply, the school headmaster brought my letter to the school assembly and read it Infront of 500 teen student and teachers. The headmaster liked me because I high score marks and wanted me to pass the national exam KCPE well. He took me to the staff room and let all the teachers whip me. He also let me wash the girls' birth room to humiliate me. I was mocked by the entire school till I almost quit school. I was looking forward to having my first girlfriend since I was 14 to end up shattered Infront of my eyes was a big tragedy. Back then, there was no Facebook or tango to hook up with girls. Ofcourse Semila gave him the letter.
