there are judges who believe, some people are too rich to go to jail or they do not know better. some times it's judges discretionary power. when you feel going to jail wont teach them a thing and may makes them only worse.

I abhors rapists and believe they have no rights to be considered as men and should lose their ceeb if they are found guilty beyond reasonable doubt. On the other hand, how about if they were framed and didn't actually commit the crime? Anyway, that is how I feel about rapists.
Firstly, the accused had been found not guilty not by a judge by a jury who are not Saudis and nor Muslims only after 5 minutes of deliberation. They must have more mitigating evidence than falling into a sleeping female and the sexual organs automatically connecting like a magnet and iron attraction. Secondly, some newspapers in Britain will love to print a scandal involving wealthy Arabs and might twist the truth to make it believable to their readers. If this wealthy Arab is Saudi, the more juicier the story is. There is more to this story than a falling Saudi millionaire into a vagina.

Ina Adeer, this happened in London, England and not in America. He was found not guilty by 12 jurors and if the decision was a hung jury (not unanimous) 11-1 or 10-2 and there is the possibility of a conviction, the judge would have cleared the deck and ordered a re-trial with a new set of jury. The time it took them to reach the verdict and the judge not pursuing a retrial indicates that a majority of jurrors found him not guilty due to what he and the jury heard in that court as evidence. Are all Saudis charged with heinous crimes in the West guilty? This sounds like a trial by media and a guilty verdict packaged as believable by them, what happened to the notion of innocent till proven guilty? If he was my brother, yours and anyone else here, we would have been screaming racist media.
