The Most Potent Force is ALPHA Group,highly Tranained to Target Alshabab and They have Modern Equipment/hardware like Night vision scopes.
The second Unit,Bravo Unit was Tranined in The Airport 2010 and they are responsible when alshabab brings fight to the city.
U.S. personnel are now training another commando unit, known as Danab, or “lightning.” The group is based on a U.S. Ranger prototype and is comprised of soldiers selected from security forces in different parts of the country.

A city within a city has grown in the last four years inside Mogadishu’s protected Oceanside airport compound. Civilian U.S. contractor Bancroft, which was the first to set up base here, is now flanked by compounds for the United Nations, British embassy and European Union advisers.
The Central Intelligence Agency also has a quiet presence here. For the last few years, they have trained and equipped the Alpha Group, the intelligence unit commandos who live in their own fortified compound near the airport.
Mohamud Abdulle, the chief of staff for Somalia’s former prime minister, said in an interview last year that the Alpha Group had become a “fundamental part of Somalia’s security and intelligence architecture” and report to the country’s intelligence force, known as the National Intelligence and Security Agency.

The no 1 reason the president of Somalia is , beyond his immediate body guards , protected by African forces is the threat of AS infiltration . They have dressed up as somali military to attack Somalia's gov institutions .

Surely they can secure the area for the President.
You don't see other presidents being guarded by a whole platoon of shisheeye soldiers.
