Although I am not against shias, Somaliland is already predominantly sunni, we don't want future religious conflicts, we are struggling our clan differences and can't afford an other bloody differences. There is a law in SLND that prohibits any action that can lead to disturbance in religious affairs.

Regarding the Shia belief , according to the Ahlu suna wal jamaca the public of Shia sect are muslims but are ignorant of their own doctrine and are misled by their culima.
as for the the shia culima , a lot of sunna culima believe those of the shia culima who believe and advocate for teachings against al quran and authentic sunna has gone stray and some are even not considered to be part of islam.
