English vs Somali

Post by MRnutritionist »

Anyone been to Somali restaurants? When the person taking order from you don't speak English,

I had hard time ordering chicken breast meal from Somali restaurant.

They force me to say in Somali Naaso dooro ma haysaa? And then ask me again yaah, then I said naaso digaag maheysaa? And they thought I was a joking. An old man said the man needs hilib digaag then they gave me chicken wings and legs I was very disappointed

LooL that does bring up an interesting point though. How do you say 'Chicken breast' in Somali.

According to Google Somali translate....it gave me two different translations.

Jab digaag iyo Naaska digaag.

Btw, check the Google Play app store. There over 2 dozen Somali translation Apps.

Af. Somali is becoming mainstream.
