he is trying to close gitmo butthe congress wouldnt let him do it. I think he is considering to take executive action to close it without congress as for the drones, do you think other presidents wouldnt have used it? any US president's main job is the security of american people. obama isnt perfect but he is the best muslim american can get, as muslims we should appreciate his effort to compact islamophobia, hatred towards muslims and reaching out to the muslim community.

Yeah...its not like he has anything to lose by going out there and applying a full on bear hug on the muslim community when the majority of the people who he leads have really negative feelings about them. Clearly the easier choice is to sit and break bread with muslims in a mosque even as many of his countrymen call for their expulsion.

Yes he is trying but congress is against it, so he is looking for ways to close it without the congress before he leaves office. obama also freed most of the detainees.

He is president of the United States and would always guard the interests of his country. Many here would want Amercan drones to kill and disrupt Alshabab, but not the Taliban and Alqaeda leadership. As for Gitmo, he has mostly emptied it and even negotiated with South American and other countries to accept Uighari Chinese Muslim citizens that the Chinese Gov't would have hanged. The majority of those who are left are either people whom their original countries don't want them back, or are hardened jihadists whom if released will join terrorist organisations. Many who were released earlier have joined ISIS and Alqaeda. Would you have preferred Ted Cruz, Trump or Obama?
