How much do you need you live a comfortable life in Somalia ?

To cut down on cost dramatically and for piece of mind got my parents to grow their own produce in their back garden, wide range of variety, the biggest problem as someone posted is water, rain water harvesting and collection system reduce those overheads greatly plus they are the more healthy option,

if you haven't bought land/property especially in Xamar many years ago your basically toast as you will be spending ridiculous amounts, I bought land in 1999 for as little as 2K and today people are prepared to pay in excess of 150K for it, I just wished I bought more of those, but once you have invested in a house and the above, you can bring down the figure to $300 a month and live reasonably comfortably

I used to spend 200 for my house 240 for my 3 guards 100 for their khat 100 for my housekeeper, 100 for electricity and water. I had my bakhsheesh fund of 100 for needy relatives and guests.

my family bought more than 10 houses in 1998,we paid meagre $$$ and know we dont even think about selling it,bought a full boos in dayniile for 600 dollars,that was good deal.as for the question,500 a month is good.

House servants? Anywhere from $50 to $200 depending on the size of the house.

i am not rich but i am in comfortable stage, alhamdullilah. also i dont eat out. i do not trust strangers to handle my food.

i dont like to spending money on me too.
