Turkey has done a lot of good for Muqdisho ar least no one can deny that!AGENT447 wrote: And why is everything being built in Xamar horta, enough of this put all your eggs in one basket shyt. There are plenty of other places that could do with some MCHs, schools and water wells. One thing Somalis have always been good at was the building of Mosques , no need for more novelty and aesthetically good looking mosques.
Turkey just want to put their stamp on the dead body that's Somalia. The day those Kurdish bastards start building roads and schools in another city in Somalia other than Xamar, is the day I will trust them and say they are sincere about their help!
remember that Xamar is and has always been the most valuable most important city to all Somalis. It's the literal Somali capital dee! how can it not go first before others?
you have to build the capital first and backbone the entire country on it. You can't go anywhere with a rundown broken capital.
Maybe give it a few more years for very big important 1st grade cities like Muqdisho , Bosaso and Hargeisa (if those two even consider themselves Somali cities) to develop and second grade cities like Burco, Garowe, Barawe, Kismayo, Baydhabo etc will follow and later 3rd grade cities in that order Inshallah. That is the best order in my opinion. Going straight to the villages will make the recovery process of major urban centers extremely slow and painful.
Right now the government is pathetic but improving slowly. it's gonna be a miracle to have the power to influence all these cities in a few years so this is all basically wishful unionist talk coming from me.

Walle run baad kuhadashay. baahi Alxmdllah waligeey ma arag waxbana kama aqaaanoAirBitaale wrote:Adeer calool baahani waxaa ma taqaan.

It is still important to have something for us rich better off people to boast to others and inspire the uninterested kids with.
you know who will lift all those people from poverty? It is not the poor who mostly lack any opportunities of development, it is the rich, inspired and dedicated youth/people. Inspiration creates nationalism which will eventually lead to unity. If big national monuments don't do anything then simply looking at our history and how great we were will definitely inspire all current and future generations.

Anigu habeenna baahi kuma seexan lkn waan fahmayaa dhibaatada ay leedahay.
Anyways, it is okay to use the State resources to build and maintain the infrastructure but it would be unfair to the poor if it were to be used for "inspirational" materials, while they are starving!

The Turks didn't build it but it was the a Byzantine empire that built it under a Macedonian leader (Julius I). The architecture was designed by a Greek.
