Hargeisa region water shortages and current status
Hargeisas water supply is dimensioned for approximately 200 000 people, the piped water is sourced from Geed deeble and Horufadhi, built by the chinese, it reaches only parts of the town, mainly the old west centrum neighbourhoods. The whole of north. north east, south Hargeisa gets water in other ways mainly drilling and with tanks from places such as Awbarkhadle and Calaadcaka.
I've heard there were plans of getting water from Xunbaweyne and Jaleelo and then bring it through the east hargeisa in ipies, but apparantly this has yet to materialize because of clan bickering. What is the clan dynamics in these places
Does anyone know about this situation, sayid, awrastaale, dabgaale, gubanogojsl?

actually there are two undergoing projects, the one regarding upgrade of Geed deeble is underway, however water for East Maroodijeex has not materilized this was supposed to be water coming in pipes from Xunbaweyne, Jaleelo. The latter one has not progressed well because of clan politics

The pipelines are almost complete and will take only 3 more months but then they have to build all the other infrastructures. That will take about 6 months.
The goal is to complete by December or January 2017 the latest.
The project is under two foreign companies and is costing about $30 million.
Mohamud Hashi Abdi explains. He visited two weeks ago.

This is the GEED DEEBLE/ HORU FADHI Project it's about expanding the old chinese built capacity, I'm talking about the UAE / Xunbaweyne/ Jaleelo prospect, last I heard it was stalled by clan bickering, the first project will only secure water to daanta habr awal sacad muuse, the second one was meant for East and South Hargeisa but was stopped because of quarreling and the government trying to make sure this projectt also delivers water first to west hargeisa

Sheekada mel kale la tag.
Not interested.
Whether from Geed deeble or geed korkiisa, I'm happy for any brother to have water.
Waxa kalana wa la xalin.
Everything is not if I can't have it then no one can.
You dealing with the wrong man here go play "your side" "my side", "their side" with someone else.
Not an issue I'm interested. Hargeisa is Hargeisa.

ciidagale, ciise muuse, isxaaq these are the usual suspects and candidates living in xunbaweyne, jaleelo, dararweyne. not surprise as these are the most change unwilling clans

AwRastaale and ramzy there is nothing wrong to point out clan discrimination and internal competition. This is why Ciise Muuse protested because somalis can be like wolves, unless you tell where the closet stands they will eat ur bariis and leave nothing to you.
I believe in social and corporate responsibility, you cannot deny the clan elephant in the room, at least I'm being honest and would rather work through it then ignore and pretend SL is perfect.
If I as a Isaaq is complaining, I can only imagine the grievances of gabooye and other non isaaq clans

That's not grievances but more like short sighted.
You worried about a pipeline entring a city from a direction.
Maybe next you going to say the rain is dropping from above for reer hebel than entring my side from 45 degree angle.
After we finish one pipeline and teduce thirst from current levels then we will see not only new routes for new pipelines but new sources of water.
This is common sense.
You want to talk about P problems when we are halfway in solutions A, B and C.
Besides we are Isaxaaq and if we didn't hear it, it means it's nothing too big.
People always dispute over lands, contracts, jobs, and so forth.
It is nothing to stop A project and personally as an Isaxaaq I would karbaash them in order to make any project succeed.
They can't stop development and at the same time cry about not having A, B, C...Z all year round.
So dear lad I'm Habar Development at any cost first.
By the way Sabawanaag and Oidweyne areas sit on the biggest underground reservoirs.
Look at the NASA map.
No doubt resources should be both managed and shared too. For example 20% of water should be diverted to the locals. In Geed Deble for instance 20% should go to the nearby existing farms while new ones should be outlawed until a new research is carried out years after the project.
In the case of severe drought the allocation should be assessed meaning 30% could be reduced.
That would be my approach. I don't care about reer Hebel but I know we have to restore some of the water into the local terrain so we don't kill it for future generations.
