Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans

Really good story-line, lots of action, great characters. The reason I like this anime is more than the fighting scenes, but for the relationships of the characters, how it can be cruel one moment but get you teary-eyed the next. It's about the life and death struggle of economically exploited kids trying to move ahead and doing whatever they have to.

Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi (Erased)

This anime you might over-look just from the cover but if you did you would seriously be missing out. This anime doesn't have crazy fighting scenes, and crazy super powers. But what it lacks in that, it makes up in story-telling. One of the best stories that will have you on the edge of your seat, this isn't an anime made for kids. The show starts with the main character Satoru having the ability to go back in time to stop accidents from occurring, but there is one from 18 years ago that he was not able to stop. It was the murder of a classmate at the age of 10 which he was never able to stop, and so one day he wakes up back at that age and he knows what he has to do. This is a thriller I have never seen any anime able to do.
